Hostess

To hatred and anger hostess

It’s been tiresome, exhausting

Kindness, love unseen

Why weren’t you on them more keen?

I offered kindly my own home

When in the cold you roamed

I gave you shelter and hot meal

I tried your wounds to heal

But hate and anger, wrath

You only had, your rotten breath

Suffocated me and made me sick

All this time this’ been a trick

Of my home you wanted to get hold

And all possessions you have sold

Without permission, you just barged

Moved in, you’ve been in charge

I’ve been so strong, so patient

Enduring your hate without cessation

Your jealousy and envy, mocking

In your cradle demons you’ve been rocking

Who dirtied my walls with their nasty fingers

In the air they horrid cries still linger

My carpets covered by their vile secretions

To be at home - I need your permission

I want you out of here now

You, and the whole crowd

Living rent free in my home

In the cold you get to roam

With kindness I’ll redecorate it

In the fire I will burn your hatred

Anger, envy, jealousy - no more

And love will have it all restored
