Daughter of the Night

The daughter of the night

They kept her out of sight

Her whispers, cries - unheard

So meaningless her words

In a basement locked away

She’s never seen the day

Cause it would bring them pain

The light would make her go insane

In a jar they kept her soul

In another one - her heart so cold

Her body chained onto the wall

Otherwise she won’t stand tall

A shadow motionless alone

No eyes, no veins, no bones

She’s waiting for the night

She’s been preparing for fight

When she’ll collect what’s hers

She’ll get rid of this big curse

The moment for awakening will come

Then all this will be done

She’ll break the silence, say the words

She will be seen, and felt, and heard

She will meet the day in all her glory

They will be jealous, and be sorry

And if this means going insane

Cause light might overwhelm her brain

She knows she’s already been so

Too long, lets give it a go!
